Ardent’s Drag Tracking Technology system allows the levelwind eyelet to track in parallel with the line location on the spool as line is being pulled from the reel in drag mode. This reduces the chance of line breakage on large fish by eliminating the sharp angles caused by the levelwind eyelet getting out of sync with the line location on the spool in drag mode, as is the case with all other reels. Pricy, but worth it! Casts longs and accurately. Easy to Maintain and the DTT works as advertised.
1st time out I hooked a nice 8 lb largemouth and the reel preformed beautifully.
If you can afford it, it's made in the USA and I highly recommend it.

i usually through my whole body behind my cast . did it with this real and got back lashes then I realized I don't have to to get a great cast with this real . it cast far effortlessly .

I have always been a huge Ardent fan, but, this reel has completely outdone anything I have ever used.The Drag Tracking Technology is an unbelievable feature and has gotten a lot of use catching big bass on an Alabama rig. This reel handles that big rig perfectly!

Since Bass Pro stopped showing the weight of All Reels. It is Impossible to compare reels. So I stopped purchasing from Bass Pro. I do want to buy USA products. So I might make an exception here. If I can find out the weight, and its light enough!!!

It's an amazing reel, casts farther than any other reel that I owned. I used to own all zillions. Now I don't!

This is the most I have ever spent on a reel!!!! If it holds up and feels like it does now, I will be happy, I do have ardent 600, and 1000, series reels and have not had any problems,,, you just have to do maintence on them.. as far as is it going to be worth the money time will tell. JimAnswers
