The stunning Ardent Edge Elite Baitast Reel gives you the ultimate edge in performance. Fitted with a lightweight low-profile frame for comfort and strength, the Edge Elite Reel boasts a dozen ABEC stainless steel ball bearings for an incredibly smooth retrieve and casting distance you won’t believe. Other features include an extra long carbon fiber handle, carbon fiber drag washers, and a line indicator that lets you know what size line is on the reel. A carbon fiber finish protects against chipping and fading.

Ardent’s Drag Tracking Technology system allows the levelwind eyelet to track in parallel with the line location on the spool as line is being pulled from the reel in drag mode. This reduces the chance of line breakage on large fish by eliminating the sharp angles caused by the levelwind eyelet getting out of sync with the line location on the spool in drag mode, as is the case with all other reels. Details: 
Since Bass Pro stopped showing the weight of All Reels. It is Impossible to compare reels. So I stopped purchasing from Bass Pro. I do want to buy USA products. So I might make an exception here. If I can find out the weight, and its light enough!!!

This is the most I have ever spent on a reel!!!! If it holds up and feels like it does now, I will be happy, I do have ardent 600, and 1000, series reels and have not had any problems,,, you just have to do maintence on them.. as far as is it going to be worth the money time will tell. Jim
