I have an Aquamira Water Filter Bottle that I keep on my desk. I use it almost everyday. I've learned that when the filter becomes difficult to drink from it is the time to replace the filter. But with the capacity for 640 refills that is going to take me a couple of years to work through. I want to pull the filter and use it as a drip filter at base camp. I just need to get some spare tubing and a connector to my 5 gallon container.
So, as I wrote this review I decided to go to the kitchen and test it. I took two lengths of hose. Put them on either side of the filter and dripped water from my bucket to my water bottle.
The next time I got to base-camp I will filter the nasty tasting water with my filter and voila good tasting water. Can't wait to go camping.

I used for an overnight at Mammoth Cave National Forest and depended on it for all my drinking water needs. It attached to my pack nicely with a carabiner and was easy and quick to use. A great purchase.
