As far as zingers go this one is among the best. It is durable, and has lasted several fishing seasons under heavy use.

Had used some inexpensive zingers in the past and all I have to show for it was lost gear. The clip is durable and seems to hold well in any application. a few dollars more but lost items can be expensive and a trouble to replace

I keep my clippers on this Zinger. The split ring and clip are certainly not high-quality. I had to replace the split ring and clip not long after I purchased it. 3 stars because it still winds in and out smoothly.
