This product does just what it's name implies - carries either size fishing cart easily. You can put a lock on the retaining rod to prevent theft. You can put your cooler and other gear in the cart to save cargo space in your vehicle. One note of caution: If you have a low vehicle, like most cars or vans, you may want to take the wheels off the cart to prevent them bottoming and bending the axle.

I took this rig from North Carolina to the Florida panhandle and it worked flawlessly. I would recommend it to anyone who has purchased a fising mate cart that has limited room in the vehicle.

very good setup for the cart. i especially like it because you can put the rods and gear in the cart after it's in the cart caddy and save storage space in the car for passengers. i believe it's a 200 lb maximum, so you get got a lot of gear loaded in it.

There are 'hooks' built into the carrier that wrap around one of the cart's crossbars and a rod slides over at the other end. The rod has a hole with a hitch pin that can be removed and replaced witha small lock.1 of 1
