ANDE® Back Country is their softest monofilament with exceptional tensile and knot strength. It is designed for smaller light-tackle reels. It maintains very low memory and is formulated for those fishing conditions when you need spot-on casts and that little extra strength to bring your trophy fish to the boat.

  • Superior abrasion-resistance
  • Designed for shallow saltwater use
  • Very little memory
Ande® Back Country Line 4.7 5 24 24
line should been made 20 yrs ago I have fished all my life since i was 5....fished for plenty of different species of fish from trout, walleye bass and pike to crappie and channel cats..to name a few...Now I primarilary bass fish..and with all the different lines I have used from trilene xl and xt to big game, stren, cajun red and also bass pro excel line...this line in my opinion is deadly by itself in that i can truly envision it being crystal clear in water which works great for both clear and also stained water...I will even go as far as to say that I wouldnt be afraid to try this with drop shot presentations...over our more favorable flourocarbon lines...NO Matter if you are a weekend warrior or tournament extraordinar dont be a fool...you need to try it... April 2, 2010
My favorite line This is the greatest line I have ever tried! I've tried Stren, Trilene Flourocarbon, Trilene Sensation, Trilene XL, Fireline, P-Line and Power Pro and this line beats all of them in everything. It holds knots well, it's incredibly strong, low memory and it casts great! I use it on all my reels in the 10 pound test so I ca throw all my 1/8 oz lures on my baitcaster too. Buy this line and you will not be disappointed! August 2, 2009
Strongest Monofilament that I have used I have to say this is best monofilament on the market today. I have used the 15lb. on my heavy freshwater/light saltwater combo and it has performed flawlessly. I use mostly fluorocarbon line now but at times I want a little stretch in my offerings and this line fits the bill. This is top notch line and a good value too and may I add that it looks cool on an Abu ambassadeur Record with it's blue color. July 8, 2009
Great line for fresh and saltwater I purchased this line after watching a video of a guy comparing some lines, in the end, this was the strongest, and had the most abrasion strength, so I bought it, and wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I love it, it is an outstanding line, fishes great in the flats, and even fishes well up here for bass to crappie, just a good line, and over 1,000yrds for the price, unbeatable. In my opinion it is the best monofilament line for baitcasters or spinning reels for freshwater bass.

A:
Ande's Back Country seems to be a neutral blue color and the extreme durability per line diameter works to allow using lighter weight line to enhance baits to work deeper. Water here tends to be clear to slightly stained and this line fills the bill like a champ.

The back country is virtually invisible in the water given it's blueish clear color. I useit surf fishing off the NJ coast and so far have found no issues with it.

This line blends well in the water. You will have no problem in stained water, in fact you will love the toughness of this line.
