Rated 3 out of 5Â by Oliver365 Good blind for the most part
This blind has a good realistic looks, vision thru windows is good, it can get a little warm to hot on sunny warm days. My biggest problem with this blind is it's difficulty to fold up when you are ready to leave. It took me a lot of times before I could get to where I could do it even remotely quick.

product went up easily, but very difficult to take down and fold. Also, Way more expensive than at comparable Outdoor Sports Stores. That I found After the purchase. Should have researched more before my purchase.

This is a great blind for anyone. It just gets a little tight with two people. the only flaw with it is folding it up, but once you figure it out, you will love it.

Realizing that I'm not getting any younger, and climbing trees like I used to when I was younger is just not possible, I bought this blind to hunt with a bow and gun.
Once I read the directions and set it up and took it down a few times at home to get used to it, I took it to the woods the day before I wanted to hunt and cut a few small tree limbs to "brush it in". The next morning I was in the blind before daylight. It finally got daylight enough to see what was making the noises I was hearing. 50 yards away was 6 deer (4 does, one small 7pt and a huge 11pt). None of the deer had a clue i was there until I shot the 11pt which dropped like a rock when I shot him.
The only thing I could complain about is the velcro closures. They are noisy and the small stool with no back. If you plan on sitting in the blind all day then you will want to take a fold out chair to sit in. Other than that, it's worth every penny.

So I have a Doghouse blind thats about 4 years old. It has velcro going around the large windows, just like the velcro for the port-holes. However, I can find replacement mesh for the port-holes, I cannot find mesh for the large windows. Do they even make it? It would be nice to be able to use the large windows and have mesh over them, would give you a lot larger field of view without the feeling your out in the openAnswers

At this time, we do not offer replacement Mesh. Please check with Ameristep.Web Site: http://www.ameristep.com/index.html

My blind sticks broke after one season. Do they make replacement sticks you can buy seperately?Answers
A:Â
Assume you're referring to the flexible celiling support poles. I broke one also (my own fault). Replacements are available although I don't think BPS carries them. Go to the manufacturers' website to order parts direct or call customer service. An alternative that BPS does carry is a tent pole replacement kit that is easy to use. Cut to the size you need with a hacksaw then restring the stretch cord. Check the camping section on-line or at the store.A:Â
One did break but I think it was by one of our young of years hunters.Top 250 Contributor

being a bowhunter myself and having used this blind during bow season I would say yes, as long as only 1 plans on shooting at a time.A:Â
No. 1 hunter and a camera man. Not much more room.A:Â
The doghouse is really only big enough for one bow hunter. It would be tight trying to draw and aim without rubbing your elbows on the fabric, spooking your game. Two gun hunters would fitA:Â
I personally think that two bow hunters would be cramped up and would get into each others way. The blind would be ok for one bow hunter comfortably, but you will have to shoot in the neeling or sitting position. I would not recommend two bow hunters for this blind. Now if you took a son or daughter that was just going to watch, then they could probally sit out of the way.A:Â
no, Wanted to take wife bow hunting with me...I'm 6-5 and a 31 inch draw and there is no way two bow hunters can manage. In Fact, Two people with basic folding camp chairs cant sit next to each other withour bows.... i returned itemA:Â
It would be a tight fit for two. Better off for a single bowhunter.Answers

Fiberglass poles which have proven to be very duable to me.A:Â
the blind is supported by four poles that are held internally in the blind itself. there is however one single pole that you install to make the roof or top section of the blind pull tight. very good blind and easy to use. as far as breakdown and packing of the blind in the supplied backpack style bag. easy just follow the directions and within a few minutes your out of the woods and hiking again.A:Â
