I tested it on myself and I think it will keep the squirrels away. It seems to be high quality and will do the job.

When my Dad and I finished installed the system we were testing the timer to see how long we wanted the feed to shoot out. Well, my Dad went to make an adjustment and accidentally touched the wire by the sprayer. He will not be touching the wires again and it will keep the "big varmint" out of the food too! LOL The product works great and is harmless to animals...highly recommend adding this to your shopping cart!

great product. haven't had any pictures of coons hanging on my feeder since i got this. however, just like everyone else has said, do not touch the wires once you have it hooked up, even if you already took out the battery, the unit still holds a charge.
