American Hunter® RD-Kit Feeder Timer Kit
worst purchase ever made
I purchased two of these units. They worked for about two days. Then the motor went out on one and the control box on the other.

Thorn in my side.
I have a couple of these unfortunately. A constant pain. These zap batteries fast and stop working if the battery is not fully charged. Coons made short work of one of them. Its slated to be replaced with a Remington unit of which Ive had very good results from. These are made of plastic and are destined to fail you. Tired of working so hard to hunt. If you are looking for a pain in the rear youve found it.

Good For The Price
I have used this feeder for several months. It is a bit difficult to program but holds it's program when changing the 6 V spinner battery.
I use the rechargable lead acid battery and a 120 V charger. A fully charged battery will run the feeder very well for over a month and only costs twice the amount of a disposable battery. Keep a spare battery charged to swap out when in doubt about the remaining charge on the battery in use.
I don't recommend solar panels as they are subject to damage by critters.

not to sound dumb but do i mount this on bottom of say a 55gal drum and let feed gravity feed to bottom where the spreader takes over. putting funnel in bottom of barrel to direct feed to hole that i would cut in barrel. need to make a few feeders and looking best way for money if anyone has ideas.
