Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lknight598 Great Product
I purchased three of these Timers and have attached them to 55 gallon drums that I have converted in to feeders. They work great. Easy to install. I LIKE the fact that the timer uses two types of batteries. The timer batteriers are AA and the motor battery is the 6v Lantern Battery. This way, the timer battery is not drained by the motor and visa versa. It's easy to change them out. Some folks don't like the fact that you have two different batteries, but I think it's a plus! Allows the batteries to last longer. Great Product! I will purchase three more this year.

I have had 4 of these and if you get a year out of them you are lucky. If you want to stay around $50 then buy the moultrie Pro Hunter or On-Timer life time feeder. It's twice as expensive but way more reliable.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by ultratec poor design
I bought two feeders that came with this feeder unit. The stick pin timer is flimsy and poorly constructed. The unit itself requires two battery types, a AA battery for the timer and a 6V for the motor. Requiring two battery types was not a well thought out design, considering other brands (moultrie) run everything off the 6V, which can be recharged via solar panel.
Within a year, both feeder units broke requiring replacement. American Feeder did replace the one free of charge. After the 2nd unit broke, I replaced both with a moultrie feeder unit and have had no problems since.
