American Hunter® R-50 Pro Hanging Feeder
I bought this feeder 2 seasons ago and it is still working despite 2 bear attacks and dropping it myself and smashing the plastic cover on the bottom. The whole outside shell has been reconstructed including the bracket that mounts to the bottom of the bucket. Everything functions-motor, timer, battery despite the abuse it has been through.

I have a couple of these feeders among others. They all have there negatives but the only one I can about this one is that when it gets low on feed, the bottom is FLAT, the corn will not funnel down. So you may still have corn in the feeder but not enough to get pushed to the middle. The motors work great most of the time but I have them bind up about once a month or two. I prefer the digital timer over the analog though. For the money though you can't beat it!

My husband purchased this for our anniversary. I have enjoyed losts of wildlife coming to feed from our kitchen window.
We have had up to 30 turkeys at a time feeding.
Works great in all weather, just becarerful of the water in the lid after a rain when filling it.

I bought 2 of these units about 3 months ago. One is still working OK, but on the other the motor quit working 2 days before deer gun season. I had to put back up one of my manual feeders for deer season. I also do not like the way the batteries are secured. It seems like you have to bend the clip to get it off. I do not think it will last very long. I also do not like the way the pins go into the timer.

6 volt lantern battery. I suggest a re-chargeable battery and a solar pane. that way battery life wont be an issue

only takes spring top batteries ( im sure you know this )...there is a spring top battery at bass pro for 15 dollars it tells you in the directions which ones it will take can order off internet. hope this helps
well not a easy question to answer but there are 3 different levels low, medium and high and you can set it in between them however you want if you choose i just put it on the very least one and it throws out enough corn for me the medium setting is a lot.
The timer has a dial on it that shows Min-Max. I set it at approximately the 10-11 o'clock position and it is usually enough for the 7 deer I have been seeing lately. When it gets closer to the hunting season I usually up the amount to help keep the deer coming in the area.
