Best feeder ever used , I have two feeder units . One is on a 400 lbs. feeder the other is on a 800 lbs. feeder. Both work Great ! I use car batteries to power them with solar panels to keep them charged. All I do is keep them filled ! Feed EM Up Boys !

This is by far the worst feeder I have ever used. I bought 2 brand new units last summer and have already replaced both of them. It would drain the battery within just a few weeks. I bought the American Hunter solar panel for it as well and batteries would never stay charged. I went through 4 batteries alone during last hunting season. I have used American Hunter feeders before, the cheaper ones, and never had any that would last. I thought this time I would buy the more expensive model thinking it would last and I was very wrong. DO NOT BUY from AMERICAN HUNTER!!

For starters the timer on this feeder is a piece of garbage. Every 2 weeks the time on the feeder would be off by up to 8 hours and the feeding times had reset to zero...even after replacing the batteries. The brackets that hold the unit to the feeder are also flimsy and bent from the unit's own weight just hauling the feeder to the lease. A cheap 30 dollar plastic unit would have been more reliable than this piece of junk. Save your money and DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
