It does float and worked great for a few hours then it was downhill from there. It would not float and it got caught in our prop and snapped. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I will be taking this back to the store.

Like others have said, it doesnt always float. Worked great for a couple of hours then apparently it filled with water and got into my prop. Luckily I shut off the motor before it could do anything but peel the vinyl coating of the cable. Buy another harness.... I do not reccommend this one.

I got this one to use pulling the tubs behind my pontoon. It works great. It might not float, but with a pontoon, it doesn't have to. It sits right in front of the motor when not in use. I haven't had any problem getting hit by the prop.

We were told this "floats". Well it doesn't always! We now have a chunk of our propeller gone. We called the company and they won't do anything about it because they state there is nowhere on the package that says it floats! So watch out.
