Rated 3 out of 5 by Good start needs more things This survival kit is a good kit to use if you are going to add to it. If you just go out into the wilderness with only this kit for a month you will probably not be able to survive unless you are well trained by taking survival classes. If I were you I would buy this kit but add extra tinder from the same brand, a strong good quality fixed blade, some water purification tablets, 100 feet of paracord, a waterproof flashlight with extra batteries, a survival blanket, and a stainless steel water bottle. My bottom line is buy this kit only if you are going to add the extra items I listed above. April 7, 2013
