Lightweight is good, but lightweight with superior balance and strength is even better—and that’s no lie. Veritas rods feature 30 ton graphite Nano Technology construction, which works on the atomic level to deliver incredible strength with minimal weight. Equipped with titanium alloy guides and SiC inserts, high-density EVA handles, and Extreme Exposure reel seats for unmatched feel at the moment of truth. Micro Guide series features low-profile guides with extreme durability that focus your line and increase the efficiency of the cast—they also shoot sensitivity to levels you’ll have to feel to believe!
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 201 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent purchase All around great rod at a great price.Very light with great sensitivity and will buy more. Have this rod match with a Lews reel and is very well balanced. February 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by very light and sensitive with a 100 foot cast in 20 ft water i could feel my jig hit bottom. i could also instantly tell how hard or soft the bottom was on my retrieve. its that sensitive! i think its impart to the way the reel is seated directly onto the blank instead of plastic like on other poles. It is also super light and combined with my super light baitcaster i don't even notice my combo, its like an extension of my arm... February 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great sensitive rod bought the 7' medium heavy for some medium-light flipping and pitching, paired it up with some 65lb braid and a revo sx, great, lightweight and very powerful setup. This rod is very very light, sensitve and has alot of backbone but the durability of the guides is questionable. I recently had a guide break and fall off the rod but abu's outstanding customer service took care of it quickly and sent me a new rod within 3 days, they paid for the shipping. Amazing rod with enough backbone to haul in this 5lb bass covered in 3lbs of cabbage very easily. October 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by reeling Is it just me or does anybody else think that this rod make reeling feel difficult. October 6, 2012

I have some experience with baitcasters and want to get a baitcaster with this rod. What is the best reel for this rod?

I bought the Abu Garcia Revo S20, and it has not let me down.

I use the Abu Garcia Orra SX High Speed, its fairly cheap and works great, it also will last a long time as long as you treat it well. The setup is extreamly light and well balanced and if you want another one of my preferences for the setup use Berkly Transition Flurocarbon line.

I really think it matches well with the revo or a lews. My buddy has bought two of these rods and 2 lews reels for it. He can't seem to switch, but I myself use a revo and its magic.

A low profile reel.depending on your budget.Especially since the guides are closer to the blank.

Mine is paired up with the new Revo S. Super light weight set up, and looks and fishes amazing too.

I prefer Abu Garcia reels so I would suggest the new Revo S for this. That's my top water set up. I have an STX paired with one as well. Since the rods are very light weight, you will want to stick with something very light weight as well

I paired My with a Revo sx. But matters your style. The micro Guide is good for heavy cover so you want a real with high drag and good power so like a 5.4.1 - 6.4.1

The micro guide rods are not really good for cranking. They make the winch model for that.

I use the 7` med. hvy. for cranks and spinnerbaits. This rod simply preforms.

A:
Probably the 6'6" Med Heavy/Med Fast. For treble hook applications, such as crankbaits, you don't really want as fast of a tip.
