Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod... I got this rod a year ago for a new batcasting setup and it has held up great. The rod is extreamly light and is very sensitive. The rod not only is great for bass, it has no trouble bringing in 6 lb lakers from 150+ ft over and over. I definately recommend this rod, just dont put braid on it since it will quickly wear the eyelits. May 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best rod for the price point After using this rod for over a year now I do not see how it could get much better. I have the 7' MH micro guide rod and it is superb. The rod is so light and sensitive. This is the only series of rods I will look to purchase in the future. April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by jackpot In my opinion this rod is the best bang for your buck. I'm very pleased and will be purchasing another for my next reel. March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent purchase All around great rod at a great price.Very light with great sensitivity and will buy more. Have this rod match with a Lews reel and is very well balanced. February 28, 2013

I have some experience with baitcasters and want to get a baitcaster with this rod. What is the best reel for this rod?

I use the Abu Garcia Orra SX High Speed, its fairly cheap and works great, it also will last a long time as long as you treat it well. The setup is extreamly light and well balanced and if you want another one of my preferences for the setup use Berkly Transition Flurocarbon line.

I really think it matches well with the revo or a lews. My buddy has bought two of these rods and 2 lews reels for it. He can't seem to switch, but I myself use a revo and its magic.

A low profile reel.depending on your budget.Especially since the guides are closer to the blank.

Mine is paired up with the new Revo S. Super light weight set up, and looks and fishes amazing too.

I prefer Abu Garcia reels so I would suggest the new Revo S for this. That's my top water set up. I have an STX paired with one as well. Since the rods are very light weight, you will want to stick with something very light weight as well

I paired My with a Revo sx. But matters your style. The micro Guide is good for heavy cover so you want a real with high drag and good power so like a 5.4.1 - 6.4.1

The micro guide rods are not really good for cranking. They make the winch model for that.

I use the 7` med. hvy. for cranks and spinnerbaits. This rod simply preforms.

A:
Probably the 6'6" Med Heavy/Med Fast. For treble hook applications, such as crankbaits, you don't really want as fast of a tip.
