Rated 4 out of 5 by jdubya great rod
this is a great rod but you have to be mindful of tucking the handle in when reeling in. it is very minor detail but its the only flaw. this rod is my go to because i enjoy it greatly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hok San Broken verdict
Just bought verdict 6'6" baitcast rod 2pcs, my friend borrow and test it and when hook up a big fish, the rod was broken in same point position with other user (JC) in his review. He is an experience caster/fisherman. I didn't know how to claim the quarantee as I know it is for 3years.

I purchased 2 Verdicts rods that I have had to return due to the handle locking up and not contracting. Otherwise, these rods are light, sensitive, and have a great look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Shellfish Verdict 6'6" MH
Received a Verdict 6'6" MH paired with a P.Flueger President reel as my 10 year service award with my company. Visually by far the and nicest rod I have ever owned, physically by far the lightest most balanced rod i have ever had the pleasure to cast and fish with. First trip out with the new rod I outfished everyone on the boat and all were using similar color and sized jigs. I could feel every little nibble on my hook, I think i could even feel the worm wiggling on the end of my hook as well.
However the second trip out with the rod I snagged something on the bottom of the lake which later turned out to be some weeds. Upon lifting the rod upwards to pull the hook out the rod exploded in two separate places. The first break was just above the forth eyelet at 16" from the tip and the second break was in between the 5th and 6th eyelet at 29.5". I personally have never had a rod snap before and yet so easily so I double checked the specs which states 8-17lb test line and I was only using 10lb braided so I am still quite confused why it broke so easily unless I possibly received a defective one.
Being a gift I can't be certain I would have tried one of these rods at retail price before but now that I have used one as long as the defects or reasoning behind the breakage is corrected I would definately give this rod another try even at retail...

Could someone who has experience with high end rods please review this rod after using it for awhile. It really is getting boring reading reviews of rods by people who havin't even used the rod yet or even more than a couple times. I really rely on the reviews of people that I can easily tell they now what they are talking about . I sometimes take a chance and buy new rods before solid reviews are out but I'm bound and determined to wait it out on these rods because when I read all the reviews on the new Abu Garcia rods,Verdicts,Vendettas,Veritas, it's fairly easy to see that most of the reviews have been reviewed a little too soon for me. I myself really waited awhile to review my rods when I first bought some high end rods so that I had someting to base my opions on . Would someone else with the same resolve help me out on these rods. I'm sorry if this affends some of you who review these rods . I'm not angry just impatient for the type of review I'm looking for. Thanks for any help I can get on these rods.Answers

i use this rod quite fequently. i enjoy it but it does have one flaw that in my opinion is minor. the adjustable handle will come unlocked when tucked into your arm while reeling. i use mine fulling extended so i dont notice when it happens. the feel on this rod is tremendous i can feel the difference between lake bottom, tree bumb, rocks, grass and most important fish strikes. i do recommend this rod.A:
I own the Veritas and the Verdict. I have used the Falcon rods for many years. The two rods mentioned above will perform just as well as my higher dollar rods.A:
I own Steez, Carrot Stick, St Croix, - several other top of the line rods, and the ABU Garcia Veritas is incredible value for the money. I fish the Carrot Stick (with a Daiwa Zillion) exclusively as a worm Rod, and after buying the ABU Garcia, Veritas (with an ABU Garcia Revo STX,) the combo has me constantly switching. Very responsive, excellent feel, 10 guides, and GREAT value over the higher end. I rate the Veritas a VALUE BUY for sure. PS - I have fished with it at least 30 times since it was introduced by ABU G. I rarely will reccomend a Rod outright, because everyone fishes differently and users will always have different perceptions from the same item. This is an exception to that, as its an exceptional rod for $99.Answers
