reel oil i have used all types of reel oil but abu garcia seems to out perform all others February 2, 2011
Not bad. The oil is great. It really seems to last. The only thing that kept this product from its 5th star is the bottle. It is a little bulky for an oil applicator. January 9, 2008
Works great. I've used this on several spinning and baitcasting reels with excellent results for several years. The Ambassadeur C3's & C4's came with a little tube of this with a small, narrow nozzle that deposits 1 small drop of oil right where I want it. I'm going to fill the small bottle from the big one. Abu-Garcia, I suggest you put a better nozzle on the 1 oz. bottle of your excellent reel oil. February 5, 2011
Very Good Product I have put a bottle of Reel Oil and a tube of Reel Lube in each of my tackle boxes. In addition to prolonging the life of my reels, there have been occasion while out on a boat that required the use of oil on my outboard. And since the oil can be directed into tight places, it has been easy to squirt some oil on the gears and other moving parts. October 22, 2013

A:
Generally, reel oil is applied to bearings (1 drop per bearing), spool shafts and bushings. Reel grease is applied to drive gears and worm gears and maybe other parts. I suggest you read the instructions and parts schematic for your reel. Use this oil sparingly, not like I used to. Your oil will last longer and you won't gunk up your reel. If the tip on this is too big to get the oil into small spaces, try putting some in a small container and using a toothpick to dribble a drop or 2 where you want it. Good luck!

just pop off the side cover with a small screwdriver and give her a few squirts. check to make sure the inside is clean and free of debris. q-tips are a good choice to degunk the inside. seal her back up and you're ready to go!
