Offering superior cranking power for high-resistance baits, the Abu Garcia Revo Winch Baitcast Reel features a powerful, low-speed gear ratio with a D2 Gear Design that provides greater efficiency while improving durability. Built with a X2-Craftic alloy frame and sideplate for increased corrosion resistance, the Revo Winch uses stainless steel ball bearings and a Carbon Matrix Drag system that provides smooth, consistent drag pressure across the entire drag range. A dual anti-reverse provides additional backup for high-pressure situations. Other features include large EVA knobs for improved grip, an extended bent handle for increased cranking power, and a titanium-coated line guide that reduces friction and improves durability.

I've used baitcasters all my life, & even used my dad's "direct drive" model when I was very young, and all I can say about this new Revo Winch is WOW!!! When you want a reel that you can count on, everyone knows to buy an Abu Garcia, and this one is awesome. I own other low profiles but nothing as nice as this. I really love the large handle and the all around feel of it. It's definitely a keeper, and now I may save to buy another for myself as an early Christmas gift!!! June 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Reel! Casts great, good drag, hooked a nice 5lber and it handled it with ease. Have it paired with a Phenix X-11, great for 1/2 oz and up baits, smooth as butter! Only wish the bearings were HPCR but minor gripe. April 11, 2013

it handels great it will pull deep diving crankbaits in fast flowing rivers leading into the lake with no problem and at the end of the day after all that cranking you have not fatiuged at all so yes it will work great for fishing in running water
