The Abu Garcia Revo STX Baticast Reel offers superior casting control and precision. The Revo STX boasts ten stainless steel High Performance Corrosion Resistant ball bearings and an X2-Cräftic alloy frame for increased corrosion resistance. C6 carbon sideplates provide significant weight reduction without sacrificing strength and durability. A Carbon Matrix drag system provides smooth, consistent drag pressure over the entire drag range, and the D2 Gear Design means a more efficient gear system with improved gear durability. The Revo STX's Infini brake system allows almost limitless adjustability and the Infini II spool design is utilized for extended castability and extreme loads. A compact bent handle and star make for a more ergonomic design and a titanium-coated line guide reduces friction and improves durability.

It's super light, smooth as silk on the cast and retrieve, and the dual braking system allows you to cast any bait in any conditions. Abu Garcia has absolutely changed the game with the new Revos, and the STX is IMO, the best in the Revo line up. I own the new Revo S which is a remarkable reel for $129, and also the new Revo SX. These new Revos are just phenomenal. Buy the STX and you'll see what you've been missing. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best baitcaster I own many baitcasters, and this one is the best no question. The drag is stout, so you can set a plastic worm or jig into a big bass without it slipping. The reel casts a mile, much farther than other baitcasters I own. Extremely smooth, and overall, just quality you can feel. I know there are many high end options from Shimano and Quantum out there, but I haven't regretted one cent of my purchase on this reel. Originally bought the 7.1:1 speed, and returned it because it was too fast. The 6.4:1 is ideal for bass fishing, and the speed higher than 7.1:1 makes me giggle, I wouldn't go there. March 31, 2013

A: 
There should be a line on the spool of your reel, right befor the curve on the edge of the top of the spool. Fill it up and don't forget to use monofiliment to start the spool or the line will spin around and you will get no drag. Hope this helps.
