Pretty tough putt to find one reel to handle musky and bass. If I had to pick one it would be the Winch. Good luck.Answers

It´s clear that this reel is perfect for deep cranking lures (17-20 ft or more)...but is EFFECTIVE for regular cranking lures? (6-12 ft)??..or do I have to use another reel?? and change the reel in my rod, or have two different rods for cranking? (deep and not so deep)?...and know it will work..but is the same effectiveness???????? (not only "work"...it will same or better or is recommended use a different reel for smaler cranking lures??????)Answers

i use mine for square bills as well as my deeper cranks. the only thing i use diferent between my deep and shallow chranks are my rods. med 7' with a moderate tip for shallow and a 7 med-heavy with a fast tip for deep cranking

Abu Garcia's round reels (C3, C4, Record) are made in sweden. However, I have a Revo Premier and it is made in Asia, so I don't think this reel is made in sweden. (they are all designed in Sweden.)

I have 2 of these reels and I have one on a 7' MH Pro Qualifier rod and the other is on 7' MH Rick Clunn rod...I used both on my Canada trip last month without any problems!!! Performed flawless and both reels cast far!!Details:

This is the revo winch, which would work alright for muskie fishing, but I would recomend getting the revo toro winch, which has a wider spool and an even lower gear ratio, making it better for muskie fishing with large baits.

I have 2 of these reels and I took both to Canada and used these for Pike fishing without any problems!!!The reels have a lower gear ratio and the drag system is great!!!
I am using 14lb Stren clear/blue mono on each, they cast a mile and perform great!!!

I only use the knob on the side. It is very easy to set it to the various baits you throw using that one knob.A:
above the spool you can see a little metal bar that comes across to a screw on the same side as the handle. loosen that and the sideplate opposite the handle will be able to be popped loose. i for one have never messed with the pins but the i know there are at least two settings, one for pitching and one for casting. if you need to see this all done go to you tube and watch the icast video about the winch and he pretty much shows you.A:
you can take off the side panel, there is a little screw type thing on the opposite side of the reel from the side plate that can be removed....it is very easy and is the best way to really dial in the reel for the application you are using it for.

You can adjust the centrifugal brake on the inside of the reel by unscrewing the grooved screw on the top of the reel with your thumb or a small screw driver if it is too tight or has been accidentally tightened. Then simply twist the side plate off and adjust the brakes inside. See my included pictures for examples.Images for this Answer

Behind the handle there is a little thumbscrew that is handtight. If you take that off you can take off the plate on the opposite side which allows you to adjust the breaking.Details:

I would have to say the winch would be. The winch has a 24 lb drag system and it has really great reeling power!A:
I have two of the Shimanos and two of the Revos. Hands down the Revo will provide you more cranking power to jack those pigs out of the grass. Beside that, you can throw that frog a long way like you need with the Revo. Set up right, you have little backlash.A:

If you are fishing frogs fast you might want a fast retrieve speed. These are slow. Hope this helps.Details:

You probably could but I don't know why you would want to. If you have the brake set up right with what your using it should be just fine. The ones that come on it are good.

I have the revo s, sx and now the winch. They all come with a manual that shows how to make adjustments on each reel.

This reel has certrifugal brakes , not magnetic, super easy to adjust much better brake system overall.A:
it does not have magnetic brakes. it has better brakes the adjustments are under the cover like other reels they are very easy to adjust
