A lightweight, sleek, surf-stalking and flats-covering tool for all inshore species. Six stainless steel HPCR bearings and an X-Cräftic aluminum frame fight salt corrosion. The Carbon Matrix hybrid drag system with Duragear brass gears provide smooth functioning. Other features include a one-piece aluminum spool and an advanced Pitch centrifugal brake that delivers the best bird's-nest insurance around. Max drag: 15 lbs. Line capacity: 12 lbs./175 yards. Line recovery: 27.5" per handle turn. Gear ratio: 6.4:1. Weight: 8.8 oz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by My Buddy name Orra Hi Guys, I am from Malaysia and the name is Beng Hooi. I use this reel to tackle all kinds of fish in salt and freshwater. And this is my first LPBC. I buy it using my first earn money. A good invesment. I landed 7 Pla Buk (Mekong Catfish), 2 Snakehead (Haruan), and other local fish in Malaysia. This is a tough reel and maintainance is easy as drinking water. I will recommmend to all my friends to use it. Thanks Abu for creating this magnificience reel. February 4, 2011

This reel is very comparable. However, the main difference is that the saltwater series is constructed of a few different materials to help in protection from corrosion due to saltwater.
