This is a smooth reel that offers easy casting and operation. I fish the Ohio River and deal with good size catfish from time to time. No problem. If you're on a budget, who's not, consider this reel. I bought the more fancy Garcia spincast reels and this one (276I) works just as well. Bottom line, user friendly reel that does what it is supposed to do. I may get a few more for other rods.

I bought this reel and it is worthless. From the first cast it was hard to reel. I took it a part and the machining was the worst I have ever seen. I am a machinist for over thirty years. Don't even think about buying this reel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lippy2 This one may be a lemon!
If I didn't get a lemon then this product should be taken off the shelf. I've only used the reel about 10 times and have already had the line get caught in the internal mechanism twice. Once I had to take it apart to free up the line. Putting it back together was another challenge. Also the take up is not at all smooth; it acts like there is sand in the gears. On the other hand I have been able to land quite a few nice bluegills with this reel so I guess it's not totally useless.
