Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad reel I bought this reel and it is worthless. From the first cast it was hard to reel. I took it a part and the machining was the worst I have ever seen. I am a machinist for over thirty years. Don't even think about buying this reel. July 24, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by This one may be a lemon! If I didn't get a lemon then this product should be taken off the shelf. I've only used the reel about 10 times and have already had the line get caught in the internal mechanism twice. Once I had to take it apart to free up the line. Putting it back together was another challenge. Also the take up is not at all smooth; it acts like there is sand in the gears. On the other hand I have been able to land quite a few nice bluegills with this reel so I guess it's not totally useless. July 20, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice solid reel I bought two of these, one for me and one for my wife. Neither of us had fished in a very long time. The reel works very well, is lightweight and quiet. I did have an issue with mine as I use it a good bit,... the cast button broke on one side and after getting it wet it would hang up the line on a cast now and then. I lubed the pick up pins and mechanism with some 3-1 oil, dropped a few drops down the crank and it now works better than new. Even with the cast button tab broken on one side it works well. I think if you are looking for a casual fishing reel, this one is a winner, might want to step up a bit if you are fishing more than once or twice a week. I know I am going to have to step up some as I am on the lake almost daily and use the reel for several hours. June 23, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Review of the 276i I purchased this reel 6/19/11 and attempted to put it into service on the 20th. The reel jammed, it was very rough before jamming and it is unusable at this time. I left the star area blank since I feel it rates a 0. I may have to put a one in to send the review although the product does not rate a 1. This, after 50 years of good service from an AbuMatic 70 made in Sweden. June 20, 2011
