API Outdoors 16' Grandstand Skypod Tripod Stand
The stand is great, plenty of room and is well built. not real easy to put together (Poor instructions), but once together it is a great stand. This is the second one I purchased.

First tower purchase
I took my time and from counting of parts (including bolts and nuts) it took me 3 hours to assemble it. It takes 2 people to stand it up.
I found it quiet when climbing up.
I stand 6'1" and weigh 254 lbs. For a person my size I have a real hard time to stand up and stretch, due to the seat being in the way.
If you can handle sitting all day, then great, but I have to stand up and move, this stand does not have enough room for that. I found this important for me.
API should make this stand and the 20' stand with a flip up seat for more room.
I have thought about taking seat off and putting a smaller seat to sit on so I can stand and move.
I have made longer stakes to hold the tower down for safety.
The ladder feet should be futher apart for stability.
They could make a bigger platform to accomodate larger people.

Tripod Stand API 16ft
My Bigget complaint is that the instructions were good until the cross supports have to go on. These parts were not numbered and therefore there was many configurations to putting them together. We spent 2 hours putting the entire thing together and then an additional 2 hours trying to figure out how to put the cross supports on to the ladder and the other two legs. You would think that this would be pretty easy BUT when the poles and the place where they are supposed to be attached are not numbered or lettered, it was crazy. The instructions indicate the part are numbered but that was not the case. Three of us worked on it and finally got it together. Good thing we did this at the house. No way you could put this together in the field. Other then that it is a great stand and bery sturdy. Something that cost this much should have been much better numbered for assembly.

Best tripod on the market
Not sure why others had issues with the directions but I thought they were great. Much better than what you get from most other brands. I put the top together at home and assembled the legs/braces in the woods. Took maybe 2hrs total to assemble everything. I'm 5'11" and I can stand the stand up and lay it down by myself. It is tricky doing it but I've done it a couple times. The cloth covers and seat are all top notch quality, not the paper thin stuff you normally see on other brands like Big Game. The seat sits great and I have no issue sitting in it 6-8hrs at a time. Sure you cant get up and walk around but you can stand up to stretch when needed. Wish I had several more of these but I will probably add one more per year over the next few years. Very well built and I can see it lasting for years and years to come.
My stand did not come with any stakes so I made some 2' stakes out of some 1/4" steel rods. I also placed burlap all the way around the top and it has yet to turn over.
