Rated 5 out of 5 by jzFish Awesome book I have really enjoyed this book. It has all the different names each fish gets and the index in the back is really helpful. Great pictures help ID fish and I carry it on all my trips to the gulf. Great gift for someone who is getting started saltwater fishing. July 17, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by MartyCanada good purchase As one who gets about one chance a year to fish salt water it can be difficult to remember the various species of fish. I found this book helpful with good illustrations and the food value guide doesn't hurt either! The book also has some helpful hints on tackle and likely habitat. I consider it money well spent. Rated 4 out of 5 by GheenGuru Great reference book Get this book if you fish in Florida. Plain and simple. Overview and detailed picture of virtually every fish that inhabits the Gulf and surrounding waters. Not only is it a great identifier of fish, it gives helpful information on how to catch them too. It does, however, list certain undesireable fishes as 'good' to eat but I suppose that is user preference. Great overall book, a must have for Gulf fisherman March 10, 2011
