I have read the other reviews on this minnow bucket and I have not had the same problems that the other reviewers have had I'm not sure what I'm doing differently but i have been fishing and had minnows left over took them out to the pond in my back yard and hung the inner part of the bucket off my pier for days to keep the minnows alive and have never lost a minnow because the lid came open. I think this is the best minnow bucket I have ever owned. I like the fact that i can pull out the inner bucket and let the water drain then just reach in and grab a minnow without having ti run him down, Cool minnow bucket!

The other review mentions the latch problem, and that is true; however, another big problem is that the lid is not attached to the bait bucket. Therefore, it slips up in the water creating a gap through which the minnows can escape. I used mine for the 1st time last week, and lost all my minnows

Okay purchase for the money, but should have gone with the more expensive model. The problem is the minnow door opening is hard to latch. Normally on a minnow bucket like this you can just slam the lid and it latches. This one you have to pinch or pull it to make sure it shuts securely. Also, it seems smaller than the other more expensive buckets. I guess you get what you pay for.
