you need to throw it over the cover and reel it in to the cover. i have actually done this before and i almost caught a fish on every cast. in my my private pond there is stick ups everywhere and i have filled my pond with largemouth, smalliesblue catfish and bluegill. my pond is 30 feet deep in one spot and is usually about 50 degrees.

I would Texas rig the tube. I would use a Tungsten weight, and a Gamakatsu® EWG Worm Hook. It will keep your tube really weedless. You may also want to fish it on a braid line like Power Pro.

I fish ponds a lot.The best way I have found is to use the mister twister keeper hook and place a small split shot sinker ahead of it.

You can fish it texas with a wide gap hook and a sliding worm weight, or purchase BPS EZ tube weights which places the weight inside the tube. I prefer the EZ because I don't like weight exposed, but try both. They will have very different actions.

At you local Bass Pro Shop store or on their website. They come in many sizes to fit any application that you are looking for. Heavy for thick cover or lighter weight for cases when you just want to fish them in open water.

Bass Pro Shops carries the jig heads. Search under Strike King Jig Head. They work the best for this product too.

Unfortunately, the Strike King Tube Jigheads are currently not available. However, we do offer a number of other branded tube jigheads including a few of our own Bass Pro Shops Tube Jigheads. To locate these and more, do a product search for "tube jighead".

I use a Gamakatsu EWG 3/0 hook and use what I call a semi Texas rig. The 3/0 hook is just the right length to allow the point to pass through the tenticles and not the body then come up the other side where I just skin the point, makes for an eaisier hook set in my opinion.

Use internal jigheads to fish any type of tube. The jigheads come in many weights and sizes depending on what type of cover you happen to be fishing. You can find these jigheads here on the Bass Pro Shop website or at you local Bass Pro Shop store.

I've used these for Inshore Red fish. Suggestion is to rig with a small (#2 or #3) split ring on the jig head for bettter action. I also added scent. I havent tried to double the lure because of shallow water fishing I've done. Hope this helps a bit.

You can fish them one of two ways. They can be Texas rigged on a EWG hook. That style is most popular fishing in the brush or flipping & pitching to shallow targets.

They can also be rigged on a jig head with the hook exposed. That style works best when dragging or hopping them on large flats or dropoffs.

Yes a tube can be Texas rigged. I would use a wide gap hook that will fit the size tube you are going to fish. When fishing a Texas rigged tube I like to keep the bait compact so I peg a bullet weight, or use a XPS E-Z Tube Weight. XPS aslo makes Finesse Tube Jigheads, and Weedless Tube Heads. A simple round ball jighead will work as well.
