Solar Chargers?

Details:
I'm looking to spend 10-15 days exploring lake powell's slot canyons by canoe. I'm interested in the trolling motor to increase the miles I can travel, especially when fighting any wind in the main wide-open parts of the lake. From other questions, we know that this motor uses 28 amps/hour at full speed. My goals are to stay as lightweight as possible, so I'd like to avoid multiple batteries if possible, and a trickle charger might not be enough? SO...How many watts do i need on a solar panel re-charger? Is this a pipe dream?

The shaft length and thrust would work well for an 8ft Pond Prowler. Thank you!

I was wondering if the PROWLER T30/30 TROLLING MOTOR came with a battery and charger or if that needed to be purchased separately.

You will need the right mount on your canoe for an electric trolling motor, but once mounted this will work easily with a canoe, and you might just be surprised how fast the 30 lb thrust motor will push your canoe. The speed will depend on the weight of your canoe, gear and personal weight. Remember to place the battery in the canoe so you can distribute the weight properly to avoid unwanted tipping. Hope this answer helps you out.

Definitely!!! It made our 14' canoe (loaded down with 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog) go much faster then my wife and I could paddle so it should definitely make your kayak go faster as well. :)

It would make the kayak go faster then you can paddle and if you get tired of paddling the motor would not. Plus you can have one hand free to fish instead of having both hand to paddle.

No, for a 17 foot boat it would be best to go with 50 lbs of thrust.
