5 ft, but about 18 inches is lost since the cable must loop around to the front of the foot pedal.

A:
I own a NuCanoe and purchased this motor for it. BIG MISTAKE. The cable is only 5' long but has to turn twice in order to face the back seat. It simply is not long enough for use in a NuCanoe. I returned my Bulldog and upgraded to the Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 -- just have to sway the yellow and green wires to make it a stern drive motor.

A:
The Bulldog has cable driven steering in the monster cable that connects the motor to the pedal. Putting your heel down turns the boat one way and putting your toe down turns it the other. The Cable however is too short for small boat operation.

A:
Well I`m not completely sure on the gator mount but i think it should switch over and the direction will be fine just as long as the direction arrow on the top pf the trolling motor is pointed in the way you what to go, the bottom half of the shaft turn 360 degrees. Go to your local bass pro and look at one on in person

Yes, it does tilt, but probably should be removed from the boat prior to travel onboard a boat trailer. To much of it sticks out in front of the bow.

Wide Bite refers to the type of mount. The Wide Bite mount opens a little more to fit the transom on larger boats.
