Does it float?

Details:
The older style when still made by Bottom Line would float if it popped out of the mount. I know this one is waterproof, but does anybody know if it floats?

Same Head as the 120?

Details:
Picture shows 120 head. Is the only difference the shaft length or does the 140 come with a deferent head than what is shown in the picture? I want the better model head but only need a short shaft so I don't need to pay extra if shaft length is the only difference.

I recently bought a 9' Pond Prowler, which is plastic. When I put this fish finder on the side of the boat, it indented the plastic and made the unit go in at an angle into the water. Is there some type of bracket that can be used to make the side of the boat stronger, so this unit doesn't make scratches, etc. on the side of the boat?

Humminbird uses Thin Film Transistor screens, which is similar to Raymarine, Furuno and other manufacturers, compared to years prior the screens are more sunlight readable than ever before. They have gotten better at viewing them through polarized sunglasses at well. This being said at one point, too much glare or too much direct sunlight can make it difficult to see on anything. After that its up to how and where you mount the device and personal preferences. Hope this helped you out and come see us down at Bass Pro Shops Orlando!

I typically fish from a Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 and would like to be able to utilize a fish finder/sonar. Prefferably without making holes int he bottom of the kayak.
