It is a 7mm neoprene. It is good for fall and for winter hunting down to 30. You would need to we ar a thin sock and then a wool hunting sock. If still hunting they are good for 5 hours.
This is a lightly insulated boot.
This 7mm neoprene I feel is compreble to 400grams of thinsulate.
If you need warmer boots..start at 1000grams or more.

I hunt in Central Florida throughout all the seasons and they're not that insulated. I can hunt in 90+ degree weather and not be too uncomfortable. During the cold snaps I had to wear two pairs of thermal socks to stay kinda warm.

They have a light insulation but paired with them being rubber they will keep you nice and warm down to about 20 degrees for a couple hours in the field.

I have a pair of the AlphaBurly sport neoprene boots, excellent boot. I like the shin guard on the Alpha Lite, I am curious if the Alpha Lite's are as stable on uneven terrain as the Alpha Burly Sports? Any help on this would be great.

Not quiet as stable due to there lighter construction but have excellent traction and sure footing in tree stands. A great boot.

How warm are these boots?

A:
Great boot. I think the 7mm neoprene is equal to about 400 grams thinsulate. A truly warm boot starts at 1000 to 1200 grams of thinsulate.
That said the boots are good for fall and winter. You will need a heavy wool sock.

I wore these this past Nov. in NorthEast Missouri for deer season. Temps ranged from the mid teens to high 40s. I was comfortable until temp got down around 35 and below, just wearing a liner sock. When got below 35, I switched to a thick wool sock, and was good to about 25 or so. Now that maybe because I was on stand averaging 8-10 hours a day and was windy. I eventually switched out to my insulated lace ups after that when temps stayed below 30. ( just didn't want to risk getting cold and having to go in). These are great boots and my boot of choice. I do wish they made these in an 800 gram insulate. I think they would sell alot more of them then.

Don't know how you define warm, but here are a couple things to consider. Neoprene insulates and is warmer than standard rubber boots. Neoprene insulation and waterproof protection are two important factors for warmth on a hunt. These are not as warm as a pair of 1200 gram Thinsulate Pac Boots, but they are much warmer than a pair of traditional rubber boots. You can also increase the warmth with the socks you wear underneath the boot.

If you wear a true size 9...I would recommend 1 size up. For you a 10. These boots can be worn with a good cotton sock, or in winter with a cotton sock and a heavy wool sock.

Right on for me. I wear a size 10 in most boots and this one is right on. They are just roomy enough to let me put on an extra pair of socks.

They are a little loose maybe a 1/4 size guess to allow for thicker socks and to have room to take off and on. Would get a 9 if you wear a 9

Go with a size bigger. The extra room gives you extra space to grow into so you have optimum life. Also, if you're going were it's cold out, you can put on extra socks. I bought a size bigger and i wouldn't even know it.

I have these. actually on my 2nd pair. I normally wear a 10R, however I bought a size 11. I normally wear a liner sock, and they fit fine. This past Deer season I wore a pair of thick wool socks, and they were a little tight, but was still comfortable. I eventually got a boot stretcher to stretch them out a little so not so tight with the thicker sock. recommend you get a pair, and then wear them around inside the house for about an hour or two. you will know if you like them or not, and if need to exchange for larger size. Bass Pro has great customer service, and as long as they don't look "worn" they will exchange them out.

From the manufacturer -
Warm, scent-free, rubber-over-neoprene Alpha boots have been designed to fit your foot like your favorite socks. The snug fit around your foot and in the toe box give the Alpha boots an "ankle-fit" effect and minimize heel slippage, reduce fatigue and significantly cut down on cussing, which has a way of spooking critters. If you prefer having extra room in your boots for doubling up on socks, order a size larger than you would in a gym shoe. Alpha boots are only available in whole sizes and medium width, so we recommend half sizes order the next full size available. For example, if you wear a 10 1/2 you should purchase a size 11 and you’ll be set.
