Definitely not your grandfather's Rapala. The legendary Shad Rap has evolved with a new technology prismatic "glass" three-dimensional look that's unique and innovative. When the light hits the lure, it reflects in hundreds of directions at once. It's the same principle behind facets on a diamond. The chameleon-like Glass Shad Rap actually picks up the color of its surroundings and bounces the same color back in an iridescent glow. When fished in bright sunlight or low light conditions, the Glass Shad Rap looks completely natural because it adapts to the current conditions. Outfitted with premium VMC® hooks. [Read More]

The most luck i've had off of just one color is the solid white. This spring ill be trying citrus and purple sunfire. (only i havent tried yet). Purple shad was probably my #2 most productive.

The color more depends on the situation. What's the weather pattern (overcast or sunny)? What's the water clarity (really cloudy or super clear). The last question is, what color are the shad in your area. I always try to have my lures look the closest in color to the shad that are indigenous to my area. I've use the 01 version because the shad in my area are black & silver.
I hope this helps. Fish on!

A:
The diameter and type of line and how much line you let out will all affect depth but I'd say around 10 feet for the larger models with 10 lb mono.

Depends on the line diameter and speed of troll. I use on 8-10 lb line and they run 6-8 ft deep when used with a spinning reel.
