This is a single shot rifle.... Break the barrel over, load a pellet, raise the barrel, aim, release the safety, and fire..... Repeat for more shots.

It looks to be a .177 caliber air rifle. As such any .177 caliber pellet will fire in this gun... However, every rifle is different as to "what it likes", and you will find that some .177 caliber pellets are more accurate than others... Were I to buy this gun I would also buy one of the ".177 caliber Pellet assortments", or ".177 caliber Pellet samplers". These offer an assortment of various types and weights of pellets in .177 caliber, so that you can try them to find which shoots best in your rifle... But, any .177 caliber pellet will work in this gun.

No, it does not require CO2... It is a "break-barrel" air rifle. This means that to cock it you "break" the barrel over, load the pellet, pull the barrel back up, and can then fire the gun.

Good question---I can only testify to my longest shot so far@42 yds on a swamp rabbit. It was a one shot situation and steped off the distance out curiosity.I did hold just slightly high on the shot!
This is the only smaller size air rifle I have. Recieved it as a gift and have really enjoyed it.My 1st rifle eon's ago was the ole wood stock pump beeman-what a rifle(somebody stole it out of the wood shed).I understand they still make this one.Maybe Santa will be kind to me this year?? Excellent rifle very accurate and e/z to use. Enjoy. GooD HuntN

You can get round lead balls for it. But I have no knowledge about shooting BB's in this type of rifle. Gamo offers round balls in this caliber.

I agree with both answers stated so far. I would definately move up to more velocity. At least 700 fps. If you are going to use this rifle, the non lead pellets will definately move out and do damage. The only thing I found about the raptor type pellets is that some guns will group very tight and some guns hate them and won't be accurate no matter what you do. Strange but I have 4 springers and 2 love them and 2 hate them. Go figure!!!!

It would probably work at moderate ranges, say 25 to 30 yeads or less. But much more than that is a bit far for this gun. It is rated at only 500 fps... For small game hunting I prefer an air rifle rated for at least 750 fps in .177 caliber...and 600 fps in .22 caliber.... Other people may have other opinions, but those are mine.
