Details: 
I hold the tension with my fingers to where the line will tighten up.....but when you unscrew the cap, the line becomes so tangled I can't get it out...I have been fishing for over 50 years, and not one of the three works...please give me an idea what the problem is...I have misplaced the parts list.......I ordered 2 the first time and sent one back, but they all do the same thing..

I have not had that problem with any of my reels. I am using the 4th generation of this type of reel. Never had a problem with any of them.

if you take off the cap to the reel then remove the top peace on the line spool at the top there is some felt that gose all the way around it remove it and it will work fine.that is what I did to mine, it is supposed to guide the line but I thank it hang it up.

I had the same problem and what I did is at the spool at the top were the line is there is a felt peace that gose around the spool. I took it off and it work a lot better,like a new reel.

Could it be overspooled with line ? Spicasters will do that when their overspooled with line.

the line they put on it is wrong, you need to replace it with some 10lb test flourocarbon, it doesnt bind as much in the little spool

It sounds like you are getting backlash inside before you remove the cap. This may be due to using too heavy of line in combination with too light of lure. I hope this is the answer you are looking for! Check your reels weight limits for lines and recommendations for lure weight too.
