Put them on a flourocarbon leader. Hook them in the side with a #2 strong hook and a carolina rig. You're ready.

A: 
there's 2 ways we fish them in FL. one is on a popping cork, which is a weighted bobber. (Cajun Thunder) with a 18-24 inch floral carbon leader depending on tide, fishing area.
The other way is with a 1/2 oz egg sinker 24 inches away from the circle hook. I hook them through there side, in the back

It depends on the size pack you purchase. The smaller size baits will have more individual items. For example the 1 inch soft pack has 8 while the 2 inch size has a couple less.
