Will this handle fit the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 6000 series (circa 1970)? Also looking for the locking nut.Answers

This handle is being advertised as a Universal Handle. I purchased one of these handles to put on my Ambassadeur Reel circa late 1960's, and it fit perfectly.

no, it won't. unfortunately, shimano goes its own way with a crankshaft on their low-profile reels that is smaller than the crankshaft on BPS, browning, ABU garcia, daiwa quantum and pflueger reels. these handles will fit all the others but not the citica even though the description and package says it fits shimano.Answers

will these handles fit the Johnny Morris series ? and does it matter about a left or right hand?

It is not possible to use this handle on the Johnny Morris reels. JM reels have the different handle locking system with the forged handle and star drag from the other reels that use the normal stamped handle and star drag. Also, its length of the crank shaft is slightly longer than that of the crank shaft that fits the stamped handle/star drag. There is no problem using this this handle on right- and left-hand reels.Details:
