I cannot speak for the improved or full choke, but I dropped a goose at 60+ yards with a modified carlson choke tube and the new Remington Hypersonic shells, 3" BB's. Any geese within 40 yards are dead before they hit the ground.

I killed several ducks at 40yds. with the mid range choke. I was using #2 Black Cloud.
Details:
Are the Fed. Black Clouds able to be fired through this choke or does it have any wad stripping ability.

A:
no the blackcloud choke tube is around $45 and sticks out of the gun about an inch. it still works great with anykind of federal shot and works especially with blackcloud though. i think i rather have this for the price.

A:
it is not "the black cloud choke" but will work fine because it is not ported and does not strip the wad, but i would advise against shooting black cloud as i belive federal makes very poor ammo, as well as BC has been known to blow the sides out of gun barrels.

Yes. Mossberg 835 is the same as 935. Only difference is that 838 pump, 935 Auto.

Go to the Carlson's Choke Tube Site and see for yourself. They have the 935 and 835 together for this choke. Their # are different but BassPro will cross reference for you. Which is the mid is the mid and the long is the long.

You need to go to the Carlson Choke Tube site because the size is different for different guns.

A:
The mid-range Carlson tube is .710 in. on a Remington 12 ga., .700 on the long range. They are a Modified and Full choke. I have such good results with the mid-range, I don't change tubes. From 50 to in-your-face-screaming-fast yards, this thing is murder on woodducks. It patterns like a screen door; nothing flies through it! Most of my shooting for ducks is with #2 3" loads, but it does the same with BBs and #4s. Hope this helps! RRB
