CM Blackout Construction:
Easton’s exclusive process ensures a strong bond of the carbon fiber to the alloy core.
The precision inside diameter and strength of the aerospace alloy core tube (0.008" wall) allow components to be precisely installed inside the shaft.
Layers of unidirectional carbon fibers and epoxy-resin matrix offer unmatched strength when bonded to the precision alloy core. A smooth 9-micron finish allows easy removal from targets.
NOTE: Shafts must be cut with a high-speed shaft cutter.
I'm just shooting a bale of hay in my backyard with a 30 lb comp and I wanted to know what the best tip is for the 340 arrows. Also, do I need to have the shaft cut at all? I've never put a tip on an arrow before. Could someone just outline the steps for putting a tip on these arrows?
Try using a field point for target shooting. These are not as expensive as broadheads and cause less damage when shooting targets. Make sure to have any carbon arrow cut by a high speed shaft cutter (which can be done at any of the Bass Pro Shops retail locations). Then make sure to have your inserts put in to your arrow and then you may install your field point tip.
Get them cut down at a bps or archery shop and they will put the inserts in the end. Then just buy some field points and just screw them in. Be sure to have your arrows cut to your bow and draw length.
