If you slow roll this over the bottom with a jig you can catch Reds and Flounder... It also works on reds with a gold tone spinner and faster retrieve. Ive also caught snook and trout.

Not as a carry- as far as I know. If you do add them to your checked baggage, I do recommend the Gulp Alive Bait Management System by Plano. Definitely a great investment to prevent the Alive juice from leaking out on everything.

I perfer new penny. I rig with a shrimp lead head and retreive slowly on the bottom. Molting or pearl also work, but New Penny color is the best I found.

If you catch a pompano run, this works well with a double drop rig on a piramid sinker. 3/4 or 1 oz is usually adequate, but it depends on your rod, distance of surf, and strength of current. Switch colors until you find what they are biting

I tried the new penny color at the Outer Banks last week and did not get a strike on them but caught lots of fish on real shrimp, I wouldn't waste your money.

Tried for cats with them and didn't do too well. Mostly in ponds and small lake's, I think a larger body of water than we have here in S. GA you could have some luck with them.

The only difference I could notice ( I purchased both) was that the 6 pack didn't have as powerful of a scent. The shrimp in the bucket had a much more powerful scent when I purchased them and I had more luck with them. I personally like actual live shrimp when I fish and probably would't buy either again.

I have used them several times and they work pretty well. they hold up great, the weight of the jig head depends on your gear. you need to be able to cast it past the breakers and retreive slowly.

I used the new penny on a Carolina rig to be able cast it on a bigger rod. The gulp was on a 1/2 oz black jig head and caught nice drum right up in the wash. I didnt have any problems with them falling apart and worked very well.

A:
When using Gulp shrimp, I prefer the 3" size. The color I have had the absolute best results on is in New Penny on a 1/8 - 1/4oz red jig head or weighted jerk hook. I encounter water from stained tea and coffee to gin to clear. The two other colors I keep on hand are Nuclear/Electric Chicken and Pearl White.

In the colder months, work them slow and easy, as fish are a bit more lethargic. If used under a popping cork, hook through the middle and jerk/pop it a few times every other minute to attract attention.

You could hook it like a worm, but I think it works a lot better if you hook it grub-style on a jighead or through the middle for a popping cork or with a weight up the line.
