As far as grip and warmth, they'd be fine up to a point. Below 55F not so much. Better as a liner from that point. Aside from that, they would be just barely better than no gloves at all in a get off... you'd be better off with leather.

YES THEY DO PRETTY WELL!!! I WORE MINE RIDING MY 4WHEELER IN AOBUT 10 DEGREE WEATHER AND NEVER GOT TO COLD!!!!!!

The grip on these gloves is awesome, so good in fact I use them to play football with my buddies on the weekend and have yet to drop a ball.

The grip is excellent. I still could fish with both gloves on and had no worries about losing a rod and reel. You can also pick up small items off the ground very easily.

The Under Armour website describes the "ideal use" for these gloves as below 55 degrees F. It does not specify below zero temperatures, so take that into consideration when making your decision.
