Size chart is close..I think the jacket I ordered ran a little large..had to return and order smaller size. It was a 'youth'

If you layer them up I would say this is tough enough to be a good shell. But you can keep them warm by layering them. I live in N FL were we don't have snow but it can get down in the teens and as long as I layer them up they don't seem to mind the cold in them.

I think that it depends on the temperature outside, but other than that yes, Redhead makes good hunting clothing.
