I have a Marlin 336 rifle and would like to purchase a stand so I can sight in. while sighting in I want to limit the movement of the rifle as much as possible. Is this a good stand for a lever action marlin 336 rifle?

From the looks of it, you would have to pull out the rifle to reload. With my experience of shooting out of the rest 3 times, the gun moves a lot in the rest and on my 3rd shot I broke the rear support.

I believe it would work well. just be aware of the weakness of the rear support rest. Do not use the supplied strap.
My experience is it is a very steady rest, and I used it to sight in three rifles.

I have not used this particular rest, but I have used the Shooters Ridge - Steady Point rest with a Marlin 336 and there was good clearance for the finger lever with inches to spare. Both should be similar. This may not help much since I haven't used this exact rest, but I'm just sharing what I know.
