The o rings are too big for small diameter worms like flick shake or trick worms but a small rubber band tripled on the tool will work even better that o rings and cheaper too. Small various color rubber bands that girls use for their hair are perfect.
THEY MAY WORK ON SMALL SENKOS BUT NOT THE BIG ONES - THAT'S ONE OF MY GRIPES. I THINK THEY WOULD WORK WELL ON EVEN ROBO WORMS - THOSE ARE PRETTY SKINNY!!
i've been fishing senko's using o rings for about 2 years now. all i do is slip the o ring over my needle nose pliers and open them up far enough to fit the worm through. then i just pull the o ring with the worm through it off the end of the pliers. it never fails
Not really. But it is a good idea for two reasons. First it is easier and doen't hurt the worm like manually doing it. Also it keeps them handy in your pocket.
Yes - especially if you're fishing with Senkos, or other stickbaits that tear easily. By the time you get them on the bait, you will have likely torn it.
In a pinch, you could probably spray your bait with fish attractant, and it may help the o-ring slide on easier.
You can use the barrel of an old ball point pen. Take the insides out, unscrew the barrel and use the tapered end. Slide the o-ring on the barrel, slip the worm in the barrel and roll the o-ring off onto the worm.
