I'd have to say that they fit just right, if that makes sense. They aren't baggy where you could wear other pants under them. The ankles have velcro straps to tighten them.

I have big thighs and these pants were not snug at all. I would get hot during the day so I would shake the pants up and down to get cool air on my legs.

Freezing!!! These are hot pants. I will not wear them if moving very much. Get button on suspenders. If freezing I will only wear jeans under them, I have even worn shorts to my land and put the pants on there. Much easier than several layers under my pants.

BDU'S ... Naa, BTDT and you never know comfort till you get good clothes. Nobody can be comfortable with one set of clothes. These will work 15/40 with thermo underwear. Light underwear up to 65 sitting.
Windproof and dry too.

I just purchased the jacket and was looking at the pants to add on. Is the insulation removable like the jacket? I'd like to only have to buy one pair of pants and be able to use it in various temperatures..

No. I recommend you also buy a pair of Bass Pro "Storm-Tex" pants in the same camo print to use on warmer days. The Storm Tex pants have the same outer shell, are very quiet, and 100% waterproof.

I found the insulation not removable, and they do get a tad warm above 40 degrees. I saw they make a uninsulated version as well. Hope that helped

A:
I have worn the pants in the rain twice and many times in very tall, very wet grass and I never got wet. They have the BPS Bone-Dry which is their version of gore-tex. Any product with Bone-Dry is waterproof. You will get wet in anything that is fabric if it is raining hard for a period of time. Water just gets in. But if it is light rain you are good, unless you wear it wrong and that is what happens to most folks that get wet.
