Will they ware a hole in the back of your boat?

Details:

All the weight of the back of the boat, motor, battery and probably the gas tank is resting only on these two 3" X 8" pieces of hard plastic material. Since they raise the boat up off the carpeted bunk, it will be some distance up the boat before the boat bottom will rest again on the carpeted bunk. This could be part of the reason why the gentleman found white powder on the pad!!!!
