I would recommend this for its strength and durability, but use about six inches of wire tied to your lure so the pike don't cut it.

I have not found much of a noise issue with this line. And I've now been using it for over a year. I myself and a couple others, I got to try it, think it is a very promissing line for us and will keep on tring it in the future.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, as long as you follow the guidelines on the rod for pound test you will be fine with it, i have never had a problem with it wearing down the guides.

I only use a Palimar knot for braids. It's easy to tie and I have never lost a fish due to a broken knot

I would give the Fishing Fool knot a try, check North American Fisherman.com and go to their "knot wars" section to learn how you can tie it, as well as many other great knots.

depending upon the guide it could wear them out as older rods were not made to support braid of any type, the tip will be the one to show the wear and they are easily replaced

It all depends on what type of inserts you have in the eyes. Most new eyes hold up pretty well and i have not had problems with them when using XPS braided line. If your rod eyes have plastic or ceramic liners any braid will tear em' up. Many newer eyes are made with a material called Hardloy and braid wont hurt that stuff at all. Good luck.

As with any line,if you put it onto a reel correctly it will work fine ( I bought it for spinning reels and then put it on a bait caster after I saw how far I casted)

I use braid for spinning outfits, and floro or mono (depending upon the lure I'm using) on baitcasters.

From experience with this line it works decently in a baitcaster as long as you keep it well-maintained, if you don't clean it out with a long cast at the end of your day it may bind down into itself. Other than that it's a strong line, very comparable to Sufix Braid IMO.

Yes, I would be very shy to put braid on any other type of reel, but a baitcaster. As lone as it's backed wih a good mono.
