I have not found round headed jigs with cross-eyes to be very good as swimjigs. How would you rate it for swimming and dense cover?

A:
I don't think there is any such thing as a snag proof jig but I would rate this jig as better than most to work through heavy cover areas.

As a swim jig, probably not a good idea. An arkie head jig with a vertical eye would be better IMO. As far as a dense cover jig, it's one of the best I've ever fished. This jig excells in rock and rubble cover. It also does well in wood, but it really shines in rip rap, chunk rock, boulders, fist rock, etc...For casting jigs into deep water a football-head jig is still you're best option, but if you're looking for a finesse type jig to flip, pitch and cast in snaggy situations in less than 20' of water, this is it!

I think that the paca chunk jr. is the way to go. It doesn't eat up the entire hook and it creates great action in the water.

My favorite trailer for this jig was the Yum Craw Papi.

The Craw Papi is a great trailer for this jig. The Yum Chunk is also excellent. In ultra clear water and high pressure situations, the Yum Baby Crawbug and BPS Incredible Craw are great.

Well, I would use a twin tail grub. I use one made by Berkley. The grub just gives it more action.

A:
this sometimes depends on how u plan 2 fish it. If u want a lot of vibe and claw movement i would go with the smaller money craw. If u r hopping or skipping i would use a yum chunk. try 2 match the trailer colors with the jig colors

I bought the nest robber and the black and blue designs. The nest robber has a crayfish appearance and the black and blue work great in stained waters.

The Phantom Craw seems to work the best in my neck of the woods. The River Craw is the safest bet though.
