Answers

Use a fast retrieve and a quick jerking action on the rod while retrieving. This causes the lure to zig zag in the water column which is what bait fish often do. The zig zag action produces hard strikes by Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The best thing to do is watch others around you that are using these lures, they are very popular on the fishing piers of the East Coast and Gulf Coast regions.
