    For a 1987 50 HP Mariner try item number 38-560-968-00 or 38-546-584-00.
Also, you will need to diamter and pitch to find the best prop

    A:
depends on what you are doing with the motor. what size boat the motor is on and what you want to do with it ie, fish, ski, joy ride. in most cases, you would not want to use smaller than a 15 pitch or higher than a 19 pitch. the smaller the pitch the more load and torque you can have but less speed. The higher the pitch, you get more speed, but less pulling ability.

No, the prop/hub are one piece. I had to remove my existing splined spacers (front and back) and used my existing flat washer, castle nut and cotter pin.

    A:
It depends on quite a few things. What do you want out of the prop? Speed, acceleration, or an average of both? what kind of boat is the motor on? Deep vees and pontoons use lower pitch props. Semi vees use a mid range to upper pitch prop. The best thing to consider is this . Find out what RPM range your engine is optimal at. And select a prop to fit this range. A good start is ask a local marine dealership what pitch they put on a boat similar to yours and start there....If your looking for stainless or aluminum results that soley depends on you. Speed usualy = stainless. However damage is more costly using a stainless. I prefer aluminum on everything except offshore or bass boats
