What I started doing was a jerking motion at first until I noticed it was using its full potential..soo then I tried just realing it in slow and that's when I was most satisfied

Just cast it out, let it sit a sec to sink, and reel in. Its made to swim and not to jig. Keep the rod mid level.

depends on the pond. i use these in a farm pond that has one part with heavy cover from fallen trees and limbs. in this situation i hit it deep into the cover casting from a kayak or tube towards the bank and just go slow across the top. if im using in where there is little or no cover i twitch it deep and slow like a wounded fish.Answers

It trolls great. Slow down and it sort of hovers with a little less than neutral buoyancy.A:
when trolled at 3 mph it dives down to about 4 feet at the most which is perfect for trolling in 15 foot water when the weeds are about 10 feet high

i have never used the 10", but the 6" will run 5-10' depending on your retrieval speed.A:
The 6 inch dives around 2-4 casting but it depends on the speed just like trolling but i would say around the same. But you could troll it slow and most likely get good movement still at 10 or more feet. But i don't know for shure1 of 1
